Dr. Stella received his medical degree from Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna School of Medicine, and completed training in general surgery and thoracic surgery at the same University. Dr. Stella attended, for almost two years, the “Service de Chirurgie Thoracique, Vasculaire et Transplantation Cardio Pulmonaire” of the “Centre Chirurgical Marie Lannelongue Université Paris Sud”.
Dr. Stella’s clinical practice includes the care of patients with thoracic malignancies, lung transplantation and benign diseases of the esophagus, thoracic outlet, and chest wall.
As a professor in the Department of Surgery, Dr. Stella trains medical students, residents and fellows at Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna School of Medicine. Dr. Stella is a Member of the Italian Society of Thoracic Surgery and Société Française de Chirurgie Thoracique et Cardio Vasculaire.
