Federico Raveglia received MD degree after completion of University of Milan, School of Medicine in 1999. He completed the residency program at Milan University, A.O. San Paolo, Department of Thoracic Surgery in 2004. From 2004 to now, he has worked in the same Department, where he is consultant from 2008.

He has a part in many teaching activities at his University.
From 2012 he is Professor on contract at residency program in Thoracic Surgery at University of Milan.
From 2012 he is Professor of Surgery at Nursing School, University of Milan.
From 2014 he is the head of lung cancer screening program for blood doners at AVIS Milan.

He observed surgery in USA, Danmark and UK during his thoracic surgery education.

Federico Raveglia is a member of ESTS from 2010 where he is actively involved in many working groups on pleural effusion management, quality of life after surgery and TVP profilaxis. He is also member of many prestigious Italian surgeons associations (SIET, SICT).

He is also Author of several manuscripts publicated on international academic journals with remarkable impact factor. Nowdays, his h-index is 8.

His academic interests include lung cancer, pleural disease, lung cancer screening, patients' quality of life after surgery, surgery for tubercoulosis, mediastinal disease, hyperidrosis management.
