27/10/2000: Degree in Medicine, University of Bari (110/110 cum laude) 2001-2005: Residency in thoracic surgery at the University of Padua.19/12/2005: Specialization Diploma in Thoracic Surgery (Medical Faculty) at the University of Padua,(70/70 cum laude).
Since 2001 he actively participated in the Lung Transplantation Program, and he has been involved in more than 200 lung harvestings from multi-organ donor and lung transplantations.
June 2005: participation in the second level course of thoracic surgery at the European School of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery in Bergamo, Italy.
July-September 2005: Clinical Observership at the Division of Thoracic Surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, directed by Dr. Valerie W. Rusch.
In 2005 and in 2006 he won the research award offered by the Institute of Sciences, Arts and Humanities for research on lung cancer (Prize "Cav. Albano and Cav. Antero Maran”).
2006: Service at the University of Padua, Department of Information Engineering from 01/02/2006 to 31/07/2006 as an external consultant for the project "Laser Surgery of the lung" .
2005-2007: experiences in experimental surgery on animals of small and medium size.
2008: Winner of the award organized by Institute Oncology Veneto (IOV) for the best scientific publication in the field of cancer of the pleura and lungs.
January-May 2008: engaged as freelance in Thoracic Surgery at the Hospital of Padua.
June 2008: Assistant Surgeon position at the Division of Thoracic Surgery at the Hospital of Padua. 2009: Ph.D. Diploma in Cardiovascular Science at the University of Padua.
22/12/2010: Assistant Professor in thoracic surgery at the University of Padua.
2010: Winner of the Greek Pioneer Prize at the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons Meeting in Valladolid.
2013: Winner of “Grillo Prize” as best oral presentation in the field of “experimental/innovative” at European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS) Meeting in Birmingham.
2014: Winner of “best video & best video presentation” prize at European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS) Meeting in Copenhagen.
01/05/2015: Associate Professor in thoracic surgery at the University of Padua.
Author and co-author of more than 80 full papers on indexed international journal, 9 book chapter and more than 100 abstracts. Participation at several national and international meetings as invited speaker.
He participated in several research projects founded by national grants.
