Dr. Yoshida is currently the General Manager of Endoscopic Surgery Center, and the Director of Department of Thoracic Surgery, Suwa Red Cross Hospital, Suwa, Japan. He received his medical degree from Shinshu University School of Medicine in 1990 and was trained Surgery at Shinshu University School of Medicine from 1990 to 1999. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University, School of Public Health, MA, USA in 1999 and a postdoctoral fellow at Case Western University, Ohio, USA from 1991 to 2001. He was Assistant Professor of surgery at Shinshu University School of Medicine from 2001 to 2005 and Professor of thoracic surgery at Shinshu University Hospital from 2006 to 2015. Dr. Yoshida’s clinical practice include robotic surgery for thoracic malignancies, including lung cancer, metastatic tumor, and mediastinal tumor, as well as minimal invasive surgery for both thoracic malignancies and benign disease. His research activities focus on acute lung injury, therapy for thymic epithelial tumor and advanced lung cancer.
